Role:

Research, Exhibition design (3d modeling, fabrication)

Background:

OCEA(N) is a traveling exhibit designed to facilitate collaboration between food scientists, fisherman, food activists and communities.

A joint effort between NAMA (North Atlantic Marine Alliance), the Artist Collective SPURSE, and Parsons School of Design, this mobile laboratory facilitates events dealing with cooking, fishing and ecosystem monitoring, as a means of encouraging discussions between key stakeholders in coastal regions about  our roles as stewards of our  ecosystems.

In 2010 OCEA(N) was  part of the Whitney Museum’s exhibition,  Undercurrents: Experimental Ecosystems in Recent Art.
